While on you way to Kausani if you take the route via Almora 40 km on a different road is a group of temples of 800 to 1000 BC. You would never believe that while Uttaranchal is becoming dry and depressing this place remains a heaven of lush greenery. It is said that gods still come down to jageshwar and when you reach the place you can feel it! It is said to be a strong abode of lord shiva. Though there is no proper place for night stay but still one can spend the entire day at the temple complex. Go here and you would love it.

Approx 10 km from KAusani there is a trekking route called Rudradhari which takes you to a completely different world! No hut, no shop, no proper path, this trekking is all that you could be looking for in the name of adventure. Caution is take your water bottle and things to eat because there is nothing you will get on this 2 km trekking routing through stones and uneven paths. But raw beauty of this jungle is sure to enchant you and make you think the value of peace and serenity and by the time one reaches the small temple, all worldly thoughts fly out of mind! Completely in sync with nature Rudradhari is must for all nature lovers!
