ABC is about the most reliable land transport to Calabar from Owerri, it takes about 3-4hrs to travel from Owerri to Calabar, that is inclusive of the traffic, bad roads, and police checks.
Cost to fly round trip from Owerri to Calabar should not be more than N40,000 (about $350). So many things to do in Calabar; you could visit the Tinapa resort; your hotels should be able to suggest places of interest.
