The photo shows one of the roadside stalls in Zaria selling fresh, local fruit. The pineapples were enormous and others I tasted in Nigeria were fantastic - so fresh.
Potatoes were called Irish potatoes to distinguish them from the other Sweet potatoes.
Note the chalked up sign advertising the timing for the next football match on TV - Liverpool vs Arsenal at 7pm admission Naira20 ( about 10pence of GBPounds).
