The photo shows one of the roadside stalls in Zaria selling fresh, local fruit. The pineapples were enormous and others I tasted in Nigeria were fantastic - so fresh.

Potatoes were called Irish potatoes to distinguish them from the other Sweet potatoes.

Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria is probably the largest university West Africa with approximately 35,000 students, a very large main campus, two smaller teaching hospitals campuses, as well as a handful of research institutions nearby.
