 | Africa Nightlife | Tips 1 - 10 of 27 | | Popular Nightlife | Other Nightlife Tips | All Tips (27) This famous square gets at its best at night, after the sunset. It's not so hot then, so most of the performers come at this hours. The many food stalls in the center of the square are a wonderful animated place for dinner or, if you don't dare, just to walk around and have a look at the many different foods served there. Smoke and lights all around. Walk around the square, look at the performers, bargain with the berbers that come to seel their goods at night. Relax and have a Mint Tea at one of the terraces, enjoy the show!! Leave a Comment Theme: People Watching

There was an awesome dinner every night in that luxury hotel Sofitel Marinasmir! I remember also once I went to go to sleep late at night in my room, and the telephone rang, it was one of my French friends Antoine from Versailles *he is a Dentist too* and he asked me to come to the Bar as there supposed to be a surprise!!!! I went there and the surprise was that they asked me to play Piano for them!!!! Ha ha ha ha I did and they enjoyed ;-) Every night we were having something special to make us happy! Night life in any Arabian country means a white night and sleepless! We had every night a special occasion, once we went to dance, once to enjoy an eve party ala Arabian Nights in Tetouan with good dinner, so it was really magical! Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: MoroccoDirections: Africa

Not really night driving. We were just heading back from our sunset look. We had a lucky surprise! In the NATIONAL PARKS, there is no night driving allowed. Other areas and lodges either have or can set it up for you. 10/1999

This is one of the best nightspots on EARTH, not just Africa. You have a great bar man, great COLD drinks and you are in an open air bar right next to the beach. If you ask them nicely they will build a fire for you on the beach. Gentle Rastafarian music plays at just the right volume and you can feel a gentle breeze blowing through. You can smell the scent of salty beach air and it’s just warm enough to be perfectly relaxing. You don’t have any shoes or sandals as the whole hotel complex has pleasantly clean sand paths through a seemingly botanical garden. Then you step out to the beach. There is NOTHING but ocean in front of you for 6400 Kilometres (4000 Miles) !!!!! And you are in a village with no light pollution. Welcome to the best star show in Africa. You will probably never see this many stars again in your lifetime unless you become an Astronaut. Welcome to a bar in Paradise. DAO Leave a Comment

Sitting up in the rocks with your TUSKER or GIN N TONICS. Looking at the stars hoping to see or hear all that BUFFALO or ELEPHANT work. Like in ZIMBABWE, millions of stars! No way to take a photo of that! We could see the BUFFALOS drink and wallow in the water! We heard the ELEPHANTS rumble and CRACK trees in the distance. We waited and hoped they would come to the water hole. They never did. It's so quiet out in the AFRICAN BUSH! You can loose track of time. Forget your life back home!! This is better!! 10/2001 Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: TAITA / TSAVO AREA

After a long day of driving and setting up! You need your TUSKERS, GIN n TONICS! The fire, feels great and looks great. Not the biggest one we have had! But that will change! Plenty of dead fire wood in AFRICA! GALLA CAMP, KENYA 10/2001 Leave a Comment Theme: Other

Every night where ever you are in AFRICA. You sit around the FIRE. Discuss your adventure for the day. What might pop up the next. Didn't know at the time. But , I had huge fires coming on my other safaris!! 10/1999

A Shebeen (pronounced ‘sha bean’) is a South African name for a local bar. Calling these bars might be misleading. Often these local bars are simply 1-2 people standing behind prison-like bars and handing over cold bottles of drink from coolers inside. The outside may be an odd collection of chairs, plastic crates and/or logs to sit on. Music is always played and often from speakers that were blown 2 years ago. This may sound unattractive, but it is actually a good time and a way to meet locals. Across Africa you will find these little local bars and they are a great way to meet people. Often locals may briefly stare as they arrive and see you. After that people will always tentatively approach you and ask about you. I have always met people this way and it has always been a good night. Africans are all sociable people and you will have some rewarding experiences this way – if you can remember them! Chez Ntemba prides itself as an international nightclub of the highest standard. They combine African music with the hottest dance music from across the globe. They have some nights where ladies in bikinis get in for free and get free drinks. Genius! They have loads of events, guest DJ’s and even road shows. They can be found across Africa in: ZAMBIA: LUSAKA, KABWE, KAPIRI, NDOLA DRC: LUBUMBASHI, KINSHASA RSA: JOHANNESBURG ZIMBABWE: HARARE MOZAMBIQUE: MAPUTO BOTSWANA: GABORONE TANZANIA: DAR ES SALAAM SWAZILAND: MANZINI Also in Brussels Belgium
Please make sure that, if you are a man, you adhere to the proper dress code and conform to the rules. There is a story here about the owner of the Chez Ntemba in Windhoek Namibia being injured after the security guards of his own club enforced the rules! %L[http://www.informante.web.na:8080/informante/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=876&Itemid=51 ]CHEZ NTEMBA STORY Leave a Comment
