On Saturday nights EVERY Saint is in James Town, dressed up in their best, enjoying the late night shopping and catching up on the latest stories.
We drifted along with our friends on Saturday evenings, popping into one shop after another, answering questions and listening to stories.
This is a "must do" activity on a Saturday night. Forget for once the disco and the pub where many locals and tourists hang out, and enjoy the old fashioned way of "visiting" in the streets of James Town.

Uncle Chucky (on violin) and his band

If at all possible, try and attend a home party with a 'home-made' band. We were honoured to attend a few get-togethers where Uncle "Chuckie's" famous band played.
