Colin's 1929 Rolls Royce Tour
In November 2008, I was fortunate to visit this delightful island. We lucked up and were invited to tour the island with 13 others from our ship. We took Corker's Tours Rolls Royce convertible tour for $33 each. Our five hour tour included bouncing around the island seeing all we could see: from Napoleon's tomb (he's not there anymore), Longwood - his home while bannished on St. Helena, Lot and Lot's wife, the top of Jacob's Ladder and so much more. Having an open top with the best way to see this island. When the rain started, Colin handed out the umbrellas. One island lady came out of her house and took a photo of us! Those from our ship were envious of us. It was lots of fun. Right before we left, Colin's wife, Tracey offered each of us (for $5) a laminted 2009 calendar with a photo of us on the island. It was a nice memento from our tour.
