varies: the club scene

There are several clubs to choose from. Do not expect air conditioning! And bring your own toilet tissue! Wipe ups is a good idea also. Do not be surprised to see unisex bathrooms. Yes, that's what I said. Unisex.

Dress Code: The places I have seen are pretty lenient. But they were clubs for the locals.

Great little club. Live music that is a wide range of local music. The people inside are very friendly and they even have a little sitting/eating area upstairs. Some comfortable sitting area behind and next to the band.

Dress Code: Very casual dress and a come as you are attitude!

Several discos: Mbalax, the national groove

Mbalax is the national music, an afro sound influenced by western electric instruments, very lively!
In the usual discos (where in europe, you will listen to techno and electro), you will have live bands, playing this kind of music.
Everyone there loves it and dances to it until early in the morning.
Worth seeing, listning to and dancing!

Dress Code: None
