You’ll need a 4x4 and at least 2 days to visit Mont Assirik.
Along the road you could encounter some of the last elephants(50) in the park.
Near Mont Assirik you find a lot of chimpanzee nest and maybe you’ll see them yourself.

It is almost impossible to reach Simenti by public transport.
You can charter a taxi in Tambacounda for a few days or you can try to hitch. During the rainy season the roads are very bad, so watch out.

It’s a 15km. long trip, which you do with an armed guard.
Along the way you’ll come across several wild animals.

It isn’t expensive and you can glide quietly through the water, where you can observe several animals: hippos, crocodiles, antelopes and birds.
