Sey Brew

by MikeAtSea

Well not quiet a cultural tip - but in some countries a beer is part of culture isn't it. Since the first bottle rolled off the production line of Seychelles Breweries Ltd in June 1972, SeyBrew Lager has been the favourite beer of Seychelles. SeyBrew is brewed with the finest malt and hops imported from Europe, Australia and South Africa. And after a hot day it is the best drink on the islands to squench your thirst!!

Boat building

LaDigue has a thriving boat-building industry and other smaller yards exist on Mahe and Praslin. They build small single masted schooners used for inter-island sailing.Larger boats are also built, including the two-masted clippers for longer journeys to the outer islands.

The Jamalac tree, with its heart shaped fruit, grows here. The fruit can be white or pink. The flesh is juicy but not sweet. It is served with a fruit salad or made into jam.
