Underwater Centre Seychelles

Dropping down into the crystal clear Indian Ocean at Shark Bank a minute later a Whitetip Reef Shark emerged. This was followed by the sighting of a Bull Shark, a few minutes later a Grey Reef Shark said hello. Suddenly someone made a noise behind me and as I looked up a massive 9 meter Whale Shark cruised by. An amazing dive - and one of the best dives I have made on all five continents.
I dived with the Underwater Centre Seychelles a smooth running operation that operates daily dive trips to several of the reefs and dive spots around Mahe.

Equipment: All equipment can be hired at the dive centre.

Anse Soleil

If you are looking for a secluded beach where you can swim, this is it.
Anse Soliel is a pretty little small bay with a wide sandy beach, The water is clear, a good place for snorkeling or swimming. There is also a wide variety of fish here if you want to try your luck at fishing.

Beau Vallon

This is the most popular beach on Mahe. It is the place to go for watersports. You can rent wind surfers and small cataramans here. You can also paraglide.
Water skiing and the water sausage ride( you sit astride an inflatable tube and are towed behind a speedboat) is available nearby.

Big fish !

Many spots are great to snorkel on Mah?. Fish ground is very rich ! We have been snorkeling in Anse Major, Anse Soleil, around Moyenne Island in the Sainte Anne Marine park. I'm not really confident underwater, so I didn't dare to venture too far away but there's a lot of things to see even next to the beach... Beautiful little fish everywhere, so colorful !!
A great place to go scuba diving too ! (Of course coral is in bad shape, but slightly recovering. And it must be so great to swim with turtles, to see a ray evolving next to you or catch a glimpse of whales ! Yes, you sometimes come across big fish, as you can see on the picture :-)

Equipment: Bring your own snorkel gear (snorkel, fins and mask). I
f you want to go scuba diving, equipment can be borrowed at diving centers. There are some of them on Mahé, usually in hotels (3 in Beau Vallon).
