katiolo nightclub: partyyyy night out

Just to clear up a few misconceptions about the nightlife.. katiolo does not have sand inside so therefore the ladies donot have to worry about their heels getting spoilt, its wooden! I am foreighner in the seychelles and im starting to work here now therefore I also know what is what. My favourite nightclub that i have been too out of tekila boom, love nut and katiolo is definetly katiolo. Its something really different to the european nightclubs I was previously accustomed too, I came here to look for diversity and katiolo has clearly attained this objective. It’s something different, a nightclub playing modern music yet at the same time keeping the essence of the Seychellois tradition with its wooden interior. The crowd is up class and the atmosphere is friendly and fun. On wednesdays ad saturdays you have to come early as it gets full early. no sneakers, no sleeveless, not...

Lovenut Disco, Tequila boom, Katiolo: Nightlife in paradise

Being resident in Seychelles (working in hotel) i think allows me to put few words about nightlife here.Due my job i talk to locals and tourists every day i will just post genegar impression about disco's and club scene here.New open "Tequila boom" (ex Pe-Pe, ex Blue & Red changed owners again) located 15min drive from Victoria. Nice place, new decor and new bar, problems still with toilets - old as building itself, badly in need of renovation. Not much people in general as crowd, but as its quite not big, so you can feel comfortable with 15-20 people inside. Service is ok, but quite overpricing compare to country level. Big problem - you can not get taxi to get home after."Lovenut" located in the center of Victoria, next to central Taxi stand, so taxi is not a problem at any time. My friends and I been to Seychelles last month and i can say we seen all nightclubs on Mahe island.Best was "Lovenut" Nightclub .May be i like to look in details but its only place in Seychelles using JBL equipment. Its like Mercedes in cars. Great lights, clean, and what you notice first - different people, smart casual dress, and lot of tourists. Music was great and we patry till morning. So its place to visit for sure.Recomend it strongly!!! No shorts for men.

Katiolo: Local Bar with a lot of Atmosphere

I was surprised when our local friends took us to Katiolo for a night out! This place is a blast. It's very crowded on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. The bar is open, with a huge outdoor area to sit down and cool off. Inside, there's a large dance floor with a DJ that plays a lot of Jamaican and Seychellois reggae and dancehall. Beer and liquor are available and you can buy liquor by the glass or buy a bottle that comes with set-ups such as Coke and other mixers.It was a great way to meet locals and hang out with them!There is quite a homosexual crowd at the bar on Friday nights while the other nights draw more of a mixed crowd of mostly locals, with some tourists in tow. A mix of all colors and persuasions made it a really fun place!! Jeans are acceptable. I wore sandals, my husband wore loafers. It's a little more upscale and most locals tend to dress up a little.

Katiolo nightclub: nightlife FIESTA

Our visit to the Seychelles island was very relaxing …we had a blast. Just when we had thought the island did not have much of a night life, the locals at the hotel told us of this nightclub called katiolo at anse-aux-pins. We were told that anyone who is anyone on the island willdefinetly be seen in katiolo nightclub! Located more or less away from the town but within close proximity of both the north and south allowing for easy access to a wider range of the population. It is the one and only open air nightclub in Seychelles where tourists can take a breather rather than the closed compact air conditioned nightclubs in the country. We been to Seychelles last week and i can say we visited all nightclubs on Mahe island.What can i say... First was Barrel , we spent 5 min there and run out: smoke all around, some guys immediately start to offer us drugs, meny people so drunk or under drugs so they can hardly stay on the floor. So if you looking for trouble - this is the place but if you going out with girlfriend - Never.Next was Lovenut Night club, wow after Barrel we felt like in paradise. Great lights, clean, and what you notice first - different people, smart casual dress, and lot of tourists. Musiñ was great and we patry till morning. So its place to visit for sure.Another day we went to Katiolo. Mmmm it was empty, i think it was friday, i been told by sleepy bartender that another days they have people... may be. I guess its becouse its hard to find and more hard to get out - no taxi, no bus... And inside its not...

Barrel Bar: Crowded Dungeon in Victoria!

I didn't care for this place near as much as Katiolo. It's very crowded in the downstairs portion of the bar (where everyone hangs out) and a lot of people were smoking.The Barrel Bar is certainly interesting and I'm glad we got to see it but for a more exciting and upscale crowd, I'd definitely recommend Katiolo!However, if you tend to get hungry when you drink, you can merely walk across the street and order some fried chicken from the shop across the street. Locals are lined up outside at all hours!

Lovenut Nightclub: Nightlife in Seychelles

Really Best place to party in Seychelles,We find it in the center of Victoria, called Lovenut club. Mixed crowd with locals and turists, after cheking others night spots we spent rest of our holidays there. Lights and music on european level. Try there local dark rum, really nice! They dont let in men in shorts, so you will need your throuses.

Beau Vallon Beach: Sundowner on Beau Vallon Beach

There is something special about sitting on the beach (not at a hotel) and watching the sun set.Do yourself a favour and have sundowners on Beau Vallon Beach. The sun sets each day at 6:13pm. Get yourself a quiet spot on the beach, wander over to Mike's shop or the Beachview shop (next to video shop on the North side of Beau Vallon), buy a bottle of your favourite wine, and enjoy the view.You will have to bring your own corkscrew and a couple of wine glasses, but it is well worth it.PS: I purchased a couple of coconut husk wine goblets from the flea market vendors in Beau Vallon.

Too often we get comfortable in the hotel we are staying at and do not venture out to the hotels in the vicinity to see what is on offer. You will be welcomed warmly as you venture out to see what live music is on offer at the different hotels.A favourite friday evening pastime for me is to have a sundowner at Coral Strand and enjoy live music from 8pm. From there we head to the Fisherman's Cove, at about 9pm their live entertainment begins at the bar. This is the coolest place to be, get comfortable on their couches, order an 11 Euro cocktail and enjoy the most amazing live entertainment. After that it's off to party with the locals. At the Berjaya Beau Vallon there is a disco with live band every Friday evening, this is a favourite with the locals.
