I don't know that this would be a tourist trap but when thinking about coming to the Seychelles remember that is is not a budget destination.
Camping is forbidden. If you stay in a small guesthouse, eat in a small local cafe, and don't rent a car or do any watersports, you MIGHT get by on $50+ a day.

Do not believe everything the local touroperator may tell you. The recommendations they make could be based on a fee they receive from the particular company and could therefor be ABSOLUTELY NOT what you asked for.
Unique Suggestions: Just check out the companies you want to work with yourself. For example bike rental businesses and dive schools. Your own instinct and gut feeling is the best advice you will get.
Fun Alternatives: So, in short: find things out on your own!
