The 'Bon Bon Plume' is a fantastic restaurant
located on the wonderful Anse Lazio bay
(Praslin). The prices are very high, but the

Well not true exactly BUT you will have a hard time to find any decent vegetarian food if you are a vegetarian or just don't like fish unless you are staying at a posh hotel (most hotels seem to do buffet style dinners that cater a little better for vegetarians but the are about at least 40 euros per person which is expensive for a plate of vedg or salad !!) if you are not a veggie but just don't like fish you have a little more choice as chicken is often on the menu (although they seem to like to cook it just chopped up bones and all some places) and other meat is available although not everywhere - so if you like your red meat be aware of this... we found a couple of resturants that made pizza or pasta which was fine for a change from fish or an expensive buffet for our dinner but it still wasn't exactly cheap.
My husband did like the smoked sailfish although I ate a bit - (mistaking it for fruit )and was nearly sick !!!!
The ice cream varied from ok to REALLY GOOD vanilla and coconut on Anse Lazio beach Praslin !

Small, cozy, simple, directly on a secluded beach, wonderful atmosphere... Your feet in the sand, candle-light, the sound of the waves, a few lovely dogs begging for pats and a bite of your creole chicken!... Remember to book! Julien, the owner, is very strict about it!

This is a restaurant tip to the cooks of the Seychelles: do something more creative with your squids and octopus!
I have noticed two main uses of these wonderful sea creatures:
1) Bait for fishing (ouch! What a destiny)
2) Octopus salad. Squid, too.
Now, what if you knocked this octopus or squid about a few times, hanged it out to dry and soften a little, and then put it whole or in pieces on the grill, the BBQ or the frying pan – even in the wok or deep fry pan?
Throw in some lemon; spice it up as dry or sauce curry – or single spice variety - or just naturelle. Crush peppercorns over it, herbal salts, optional lemon sauce, fresh lemon juice or even soy sauce.
Eat it like that or add breadfruit chips, potato chips (nnaaaa…), rice and a mellow, not too distinct salad.
The restaurant that does this to my palate will get a 5-star review from my side and the cook will immediately have my vote for the presidential election. Given that the price of the octopus is right.
If there is a need for octopus education, please visit Greece, but go beyond the batter-and-deep-fry lessons. Leave a Comment Theme: Seafood

Friendly outdoor restaurant off Beau Vallon bay. The buffet opens at 7:30. Lots of fresh salads, creole style fish and dessert. Seems like everyone was there.

The Boat House is a real awesome place where you can have a big buffet placed in an old wooden boat with several delicious creole stuff....
You should go there in the early evening...it is really good and cheap for the choice you have over there

The owners are a nice middle-aged couple, he's french and she an elegant local lady. The atmosphere is really nice, a colonial veranda, sort of simplified ginger-bread style, aside of a beautiful garden and almost in front of the beach, directly on the main road. It's the best quality price on the island ($15-$25 each )
