While many beaches are exceptional along the Freetown peninsula, I recommend being more adventurous and head past beach "River Number Two," which is now getting crowded and you have to pay $2.50 for parking, to a more remote and pristine beach, "Tokkeh." Great lunch of fresh oysters, fish, chips, salad and even lobster will run you $10 or less. Ask for Hassan by the spot where the old hotel swimming pool was. Palm tree huts are available and overnighting is awesome. Bring your own drinks. Leave a Comment
