Ja Boet ..........Ja Swaer.........
Where were you last year on the 28th of December? If you weren't in Bathurst then you were either too young or too old!
The biggest party in the Eastern Cape was on the go.Some 5000 revellers attended the one of a kind Ox- Braai.
Friends tend to migrate to this central point in the heart of the sunshine Coast for this somewhat traditional affair.
Traditions are created over time and this ,the 20th Ox -Braai is probably going to break all reecords as we come to the end of another year. Hosted by the dedicated members of the Shaw park Country Club with Conveners Nigel Arnold and Craig Handley at the helm ,a well planned and organized function promises that this is not one you want to miss.
Watch the sun set in the heart of Settler Country on the 28th and wake up to the new day with still enough time to recover from all the partying before you see the New Year in.
Who could ask for more, meet all your old school and Varsity friends, chat to the new kids on the block and leave with new hopes and friendsmade for life.
The Bathurst Ox -Braai has become legendary since its inception in the early eighties.
It has even grown annually breaking the record of the orevious year, this hopes to be an even bigger event with the kitchen catering for 4500 meals.
Imagine 15 tons of wood,26 spit braais supported over glowing coals busily braaing 2 tons of meat.
Come and join in on this old age tradition and relive the days of yesteryear while been in the present sipping on some wonderful pineapple mampoer from the Summerhill Farm just a stones throw away.
Come and enjoy the Bathurst Ox - Braai
