how i wish i had more stamina, stronger knees and a fiiter body,
alas, i did get to the beginning of the Wolfberg cracks
where people do the easy or difficult route
the easy it clambering over huge rocks,
the difficult is between rocks a few tunnels
not for overly tick waisted
so I was informed.
knowing that is was another 60-90 minutes to get down to the sign
where the car was parked,
i opted for play safe
as the "knob kierie" that i crafted for myself
whilst waiting for Luwh who ended up with Arnold at the Arch
certainly helped with mastering the rocky steps of
differing heights and angles on the meandering zig zag return path down.
I am happy I reached to beginnings of the harsher hilke
but will keep fit and try again the next time I am there,
2010 September with other offsprings
;-)))

The main track through the mountains is about 100 km long, and takes a good 2 hours to get through, in a good car. Our hire car wasn't a particularly good car. If you break down, well you'll have a long wait for help. And there's no cell phone coverage either. But you'll have some great scenery to look at. Make sure you take water with you everywhere and don't go out without sunscreen.
