Christmas Day night was much quieter for some reason than Christmas Eve!
Once the sun had gone down, we congregated around the pool and ate a delicious brai, which smelt and tasted divine!
Some people then once again hit the bar to celebrate what was left of the festive season. I had a few drinks, but as we had a long drive the next day - we gave the bar a miss that night!

Christmas Day morning, included in our stay was a champagne breakfast!
What this actually consisted of in true backpacker style - was everyone nursing their hangovers from the night before with champagne and orange juice and egg rolls around the pool!

Christmas 2005 at Buccaneers was brilliant!
They put on such a fantastic xmas. Obviously staff wanted to relax on Xmas Day and they were having a staff party, so on Xmas Eve they more than looked after their guests with a reasonably priced Xmas Dinner (just like the kind I have at home!) A pressie swap, and dancing and drinking in the bar until I cant remember when!

Buccaneers have resident surf instructors, they also rent out boards and wetsuits if you dont have your own. They are pretty old and aren't in the best condition - but they work!
The best time as anywhere along this coast for a surf is early in the morning.
And so if you venture down to the beach early in the morning you will see all of the surfers out there hitting the waves.

The beach at Cinsta is one big sand spit - it is stunning and the dunes are ideal for climbing with a beer and waching the sunset. The sea is safe for both swimming and surfing and the beach is sandy, so it is comfortable on your feet. Should you fancy a little stroll - Cinsta Village is just off of the beach.

From the hostel it is necessary to walk along the river to get to the beach. There is a footpath to walk along and it is all very scenic. Eventually you get to the river mouth and there before your eyes is the beach!
