Went to the Mont Rochelle restaurant and vineyard just recently. We were there for a late lunch, arrived at 2pm and sat in the garden, there was no one, the lunch crowd has obviously thinned out. We were looking at photos taken earlier in the day, when the food came we put our camera aside on the table to start lunch. We left past 330pm and went back to our hotel, still no other guests have sat near us. 2 hours later, we realised we left our camera on the table at the restaurant. We called back and even drove back to the hotel to get our camera back, according to the manager, none of the wait staff including the waitress who was serving us found the camera when they cleared the table. It was frustrating, upsetting and disappointing. This was supposed to a good restaurant with good service and reputation. We would think that the staff would turn the camera in out of goodwill and honesty but obviously not. This was a very bad experience, we will never go back to the restaurant again.
