When you arrive at Qwantani, check with reception as to which night is the communal braai evening. They make massive big fires and have the braai grids ready for you. You bring your meat and drinks. Should you not have drinks, no problem they sell it all there. They sell salads and desert. Make pap & relish for you to enjoy with your meat.

Theres not many bars in town and by the sounds of what we were told, they can be a bit rough
we spent the afternoon drinking in the smoking turtle - which looked a bit rouhg but locals were friendly
beer was 11rand each so cheap
we had food, which took an hour to arrive! but it was cheap, 65rand for a huge burger!

Transportation

On the road again

On the road again, Harrismith

mvtouring Says:  I took the road to get to Harrismith. A very long drive away from Cape Town. The roads were not too bad, however in places there were quite a few nasty potholes that you had to keep your eyes open for.
