This tip is for receptive audience only!
The casinos as part of gambling experience should be classified as a vice in general and a sin in particular but this does not seem to bother the South African government with its "lassez-faire" attitude. What is even more disturbing is the notion of the populace that this is the way probably to enlightenment and surely enrichment. The vast majority of clients are not some bored well-to-do whites but rank and file of the township population which is coming to this shrine of sorts in their snickers and tucks.
As a visitor with lots of time on hand you might end up willy-nilly in one or more of these establishments and try your luck as well. The chances of winning the big prize are as distant as the moon but being there reinforces the notion that you have run out of venues to go to in a city physically hemmed by barbed wire and electrical fences and intellectually resigned to siege mentality.

It's called Montcecasino but the casino is just an extra. It is more of a luxurious Mall.
Wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, book shops, crafts, clothing, pubs etc.
The atmosphere is the best. It feels like an old town. Even the passages are cobblestone. Suppose to be an Italy replica.Never been to Italy so if it is real I don't know but they created a great atmosphere.
I can just sit at one of the coffee shops and watch the people go by, read the newpaper or a new book from Exclusive Books, eat some cake or just sit.
A must see in Johannesburg

Well this is a nice casino. If you see it at night when driving along the highway its very attracting with all the lights. It looks like one big circus.
There is also a great entertainment area for the Kids which inlcudes a bowling alley , go carts and arcade centre to name a few. They also have a day care centre to look after your kids while you gambling.
They also host world title big boxing matches here.
