The Kruger House was the home of SJP Kruger, who was the president of th old ZAR (Zuid Afrikaanse Republiek).
Kruger was a very influential figure in South African history. I'm sure that most people are familiar with The Kruger Park (Game Reserve).
His statue can be found on Chusrch Square.
The museum gives a good background of his life and political role he played in the history of South Africa.
Admission fees are R20 per person
Paul Kruger house is also quite a good place to visit. It is situated in church St. Kruger was the first Republic president who overthrew the British.
His house remains as it was from the day he died and gives an insight as to how the rich lived in SA in those days (early 1900's) and there are a couple of museums you can visit that are joined onto his house.
Kruger House is built in 1883 for Paul Kruger, President of the South African (Transvaal) Republic. Left unchanged since President Kruger and his wife lived in it with numerous personal relics of themselves.
One of the founding fathers of Afrikaaner SA. Kruger lived in this humble home during his term as president of Afrikaaner Republic
