You start of with the view. Sitting outside on the deck is the best. Nice view of the dam and the hustle and bustle down on the street.
A bit expensive but great food. The kids and Gary are very boring when it comes to food.
They had hamburgers. They said it was nice but who wants to eat hamburgers if there is such a big choice.
It was on a Sunday afternoon and it seemed as if the whole of Gauteng was at the Dam and at Squires at 14:00. The service was a bit slow.
Favorite Dish: Vegetarian platter. It is quite large for one person. I'm not scared of food but this was a lot.
A baked potato - stunning and very big. Rian had half of it.
Fried mushrooms - great
The best - creamed spinach, spinach pies and fried haloumi cheese.
There was more. Can't even remember everything now.

have never met anyone who doesn't like a nice pizza. We planned to go back to Squires but
they were extremely busy so we decided to try Catalino's. Nice verandah to sit on with a view on the busy street and all the interesting people. Small cocktail menu but very reasonably priced. I had a very nice Pina Colada and the rest of my boring family had Coke. Nobody complained so I assume it tasted like Coke. The pizza was large with lots of topping. Great variety to choose from.
They have an enormous menu with everything you can think of. The fish platters also looked great. I asked for the some of the garlic they serve with the fish and it added some nice taste to the pizza. It was quite strong garlic so I had to insist that everybody have garlic.
Quick service, friendly waiters, management is visible and interested.
