Enjoy the exciting variety of freshwater & tropical fish, crocodiles (nile, slender-snout & dwarf, all indiginous to Africa), pelicans, seals, penguins and other aquatic animals.
On weekends, there is live pelican, seal, penguin & crocodile shows. Show times are 11:00 & 15:00 on Saturdays, and 11:00, 13:00 & 15:00 on Sundays & Public Holidays. Open daily from 08:30 to 17:00.
To be Honest with you , I have to say its quiet boaring. They have 1 section with lots of different fish and then they have an awesome big tank with huge cat fish and so forth in there. They also have penguins and seals and crocodiles and I must say the shows was ok... it really added spice to my trip there.
I think it would be best to visit the Aquarium at about 2pm on a Sunday or public holiday when they have that Croc ,Penquin and Seal Show. The Show Starts at 3pm so you`ll have enough time to checkout everything and stay for the show. There is also a nice section whereby you can stay for tea and eats.

Lovely enchanted garden for children and the young at heart. A nice restaurant under the trees between goblins and fairies is great for a long lunch. Fairy products can be bought at the tiny little fairy shop. It is at the end the ambiance of forest and water that make you want to stay as long as possible.

Address: Between Hartbeespoort and Magaliesburg
Jasmyn (Afrikaans for Jasmine) is a deli-like shop with fresh farm produce. There is a nice bookshop upstairs and a coffee shop. The architecture makes it very different. It is in the form of a large windmill.
The most fascinating is the artworks for sale in between the fruit and vegetables.

nice to spend the whole day in it specially with kids if you have one. The Palace of the Lost City, is a must seen architecture, the hotel is awsome just to be visited :-). included inside the valley of waves, a perfect place to spend a whole day there specally with kids.
inside the valley of waves you will enjoy: romanian style pools, 'lazy river' sitting in a tube and enjoy the lazy stream, the awsome artificial sea waves, and steepy slides. food is abundant, nice and cheap there. i loved most the friesssssss. it will cost around 100 rand per person for entrance, 30 rand for the tube and 20 rand for the lockers. i think its not expensive.
i made the pilanseberg nature reserve and suncity in one day and i regret this cause i didnt have enough time to explore both to every detail. so i dont advice any one to do so.

getting african crafts for your home or souveniers is awsome here in harties. thats because the prices are very good and bargning is even more better here.
every one would recomend the Chameleon Village market, but i would reccomend farkat inter curios, its a big shop just in front Chameleon Village, it offeres more crafts with much much more cheaper prices.
actually you wont get a better price for wood crafts or ostrish eggs in joberg, capetown as you would get it here.
so go a head and do the crafts shopping there.

The view was excellent as the Ferry Boat went close to the actual dam wall and made a turn , passed all the mansions and headed back. Its also nice see alot of people here just enjoying yatching or jetskiing or just cruising the dam with there boats.

Well if you wanna get a glimps of feeding time I think you gotta stick it out until its almost time to go home. I saw this guy come around with a wheel barrow full of some raw dead birds , looks almost like chicken but I could`nt actually say. This is fed to some the animals including the birds.
Well the lions and tigers and so forth don`t get fed this but they surely alerted that food is around and all restless.
Well that wheel barrow went around to the cages where all the vultures and eagles are kept. In pops this guy like there is nothing to worry about and starts breaking those birds in pieces and throwing them around. Its amazing to see the wingspan of the Vultures and Eagles as they come down from there post to get their food.

This is how the dam looks when we have alot of rain in the area and the dam is more then 100% full. There is this huge waterfall as the water rushes down from the dam gates into the crocodile river below. Many times when you pass by in winter there is not much of a spray as you can see in the other picture I got as there is hardly any rainfall in winter in this area.
