Favorite thing: Banking
Banks are available from 09:00am to 03:00pm Monday to Friday and from 08:30 to 11:00 am on Saturdays. All major banks have ATM’s in all shopping centres and at many fuel stations. International banks have branches in most of the major cities. Bureaux de change are available in most big towns and cities. Most of the lodges will accept dollars, pounds and euros.
Credit & debit cards
All major credit cards can be used in SA but beware American express and diners club have less coverage than visa and MasterCard. You cannot purchase fuel with credit cards. In some small towns it will be best to have cash.
