Favorite thing: After a little more than two decades, Jeffrey’s Bay matured into a quiet fishing village, until it’s sandy warm beaches and perfect swimming and surfing bays were discovered. Jeffrey’s Bay has some of the most sensational surf in the world, many say the best. The waves just go on and on in perfect tubes and every July the beach gets packed with freshly waxed boards and sun bleached blond surfers for the national championships. When the tide has gone out and the surfers have retired, the beach is yours to stroll and comb for its rare and beautiful shells washed up by the warm Indian Ocean.
