    Oxpecker

The oxpecker is normally found close to larger animals, such as elephants or giraffes as a 'blind passenger' picking parasites out of the fur of the 'host'

    Grey Lourie

This is one of my favourite birds of the lowveld - the Grey Lourie. It has a beautiful head and a nice call which one hears well before one sees the bird.

    Blacksmith Plover

This is quiet a common sighting in the Kruger Park and at times one can only hear the sound of the Blacksmith Plover, and if one listens carefully one can make out why the bird got its name...

    Hamercop Nest

These birds build huge nest which completing encase the female while she gives birth and cares for the infants. The male will feed her through a small hole

    What a beauty!!

I've never been a bird watcher, but the Kruger is full of them, Fish Eagle, Marshal Eagle to name a few.. You will see some great birds, I'm certainly more interested in birds now!
