when one see`s someone else go off the road into the bush don`t be just as bad as them and follow them into the bush just to get a better view of the wild life as you endanger yourself as the other wild life .....
Fun Alternatives: stick to the roads thats why they are there as not to harm the vegetation leave that for the nature to to its thing.....
Not really a trap but something you need to be aware of. My only advice from experience with other travellers is that people are not fully aware of the new rates applicable to international travellers in the Kruger. You will pay R 120.00 per day that you are in the park. Make sure you book accommodation well in advance, otherwise there is a good chance you will be disapointed or relegated to a camp you did not decide to go to.
WE HAVE JUST READ AGAIN THAT TOURIST DONT REALISE HOW DANGEROUS IT IS TO OPEN YOUR WINDOW WHEN YOU HAVE A FULL GROWEN LION NEXT TO YOU , THE GUY OPEN HIS WINDOW SWITCHED HIS CAR THEN THE LION GOT CLOSER HE TRIED TO CLOSE HIS WINDOW BUT HE HAD ELECTRIC WINDOWS SO HE COULD CLOSE THE WINDOW , HE WAS VERY LUCKY THAT HE DIDNT GET HURT
Unique Suggestions: DONT OPEN YOUR WINDOWS WILD ANIMALS ARE UN PREDICTABLE BE CAREFULL
When going to Kruger be carefull. Do not get out of your car, unless it is safe to (at resting places). Wild animals are not predictable and they are in no time there to grab you.
Unique Suggestions: Don't buy stuff in the souvenirshops in the park. It is very expensive and not really things you need or got to have. It is cheaper to buy them outside the park.
Eventhough there are dangerous animals like lions around the parkpolice is out there with speedtraps.......
The speedlimits are: 50 km/h on tar roads and 40 km/h on dirt roads. So take your time and plan your trip.
