... then a lot of small creeks will develop where there haven?t been any before. And existing creeks my become real rivers. And rivers may overflow.
What you can see here, is our Caravan stuck in the sand of a very small creek.
With the right "technique" in driving through, this wouldn not have happened. And later we crossed bigger creeks without these problems.
Important is: use a higher gear. Do not change gears in the creek (or in the sand), you will lose your momentum. Check the creek out in advance: how deep? how sandy? Then accelerate a little before you drive through - but not while you are driving through. And: voila!
By the way: Yes, YOU SHOULD NEVER GET OUT OF YOUR CAR IN THE PARK.
(But here we couldn?t help it. And we checked the area real good, before we did.
Some minutes later another car came by, a 4WD and got us out quite easily)
Even the professional drivers with 4WD Jeeps are not immune against getting stuck.
(Ok the river was a little bigger than the one we got stuck in with the Caravan ...)
As you can see, we are enjoying our drive anyway.
