I found Mossel Bay to be a strange place that only seemed to get lively a few weeks in the year when, the mostly South African, tourists would come to camp on vacation.
Stones Bar is located not far away from Mossel Bay Harbour & has about 7 pool tables, a dance floor & resident DJ who blasts out the vibes several times a week.
Wednesday is quite busy due to it being promotional day on selected drinks.
Friday & Saturday night are also, predicably busy as well.
Rest of the week - somewhat patchy as far as numbers are concerned.
Clientele tend to be mainly locals, but ex-pat's are warmly welcomed.

Mossel Bay is a funny place that only seems to get busy for a few weeks in the year when the - mainly South African- tourists come to Camp.
Stones has about 7 pool tables, quite a large dance floor & a resident DJ who blasts out the vibes a few times a week.
Wednesday night is usually quite busy due to the promotional drinks, Friday & Saturday predictably so.
Rest of the week is rather sketchy though.
Expect a mainly local clientele since there is not a great Ex-Pat' community here, although you will be welcomed.

This is a bar at the point that also serves food. The drinks are pretty cheap and brandy&coke is always on special for 15 rand. The interior is pretty original, with swings hanging at the bar, logs as bar tables and a boat with a picnic table in it just outside.
They've got a special cocktail called the shark bowl thats pretty good and the food is good as well. They usually stay open untill 2am.

    Carouse: Nightclub

This is a predominantly white nightclub. There is a small dancefloor with a bar and couches and another seperate bar where you can play pool. If you come there more often, you'll notice that the DJ plays the same songs. It stays open till late though and usually has drinks on special. Entrance fee is 10 rand.

    Vibrations: Nightclub

This is a predominantly black nightclub, against which you'll probably be warned by the locals. It is a really cool place though, with better music than at Carouse. There are also a lot of tables to sit at and another good thing is that there are no drinks alowed on the dance floor. There's also a big area where you can play pool, darts and video games. Entrance fee is 30 rand.
