This place is located in a hotel and is quite upmarket. The prices are very reasonable though, the service is excellent and the food was fab.
We are backpackers and even our budget stretched to being able to eat here one night! But I would reccommend that you make an effort with your dress! For us, we just turned up in our usual casualt attire and did feel a bit out of place!
Favorite Dish:
I ate a beef steak meal and Matt ate Shark - both were delicious, but the food here is in fairly small portions - fancy presentation etc - so don't go expecting a big slap up meal.

Even if you don't do the game drive, it would be worth driving out to Botlierskop Game Reserve to go to the Lodge for lunch. The building is beautiful and seems to be an organic part of the landscape. This is no tasteless Howard Johnson's in the Bush. The food is excellent, though I'd pass on the springbok, which was so tough we thought it really WAS shoe leather. Certainly in the atmosphere department, this was one of the most impressive restaurants we've ever been in.
Favorite Dish: Forget the springbok!

This is a funky little restaurant on the main street opposite the Tourist Office. Eating outside under the balcony is great -- as is the seafood. The shrimp were spectacular! Their specials are great deals, too: sole, mussels with chips or rice for all of R38 or a bit less than US$5! With prices like that, you're not gonna break the bank!
