When heading to Nelspruit on the N4 ,you will come to a place called Waterval Boven and as you pass through the tunnel at the town you pull over on the right handside as you exit the tunnel.Well there is guides which takes you through the old ZASM Tunnel which is located next the tunnel you just drove through which leads to the Elands River Waterfall.The view of the waterfall is amazing. Make sure you go there in summer.

The Malelane Sun is located on the banks of the Crocodile River, adjoining the Kruger National Park, in the South African province of Mpumalanga. Well its a nice place to stay especially if you plan on taking game drives in the Kruger National Park.

Pilgrims Rest is a small town which has been restored to how it looked when mining first started in the early 1900's. The shops and streets are really charming with shops selling old goods and souvenirs. You really feel like you've stepped back about 50 years.If you're driving through Mpumalanga, stop for a few hours, have a pancake or lunch and just enjoy the people watching.
Bourke’s Luck Potholes are a strange formation of huge cylindrical holes that have been carved by decelerating river water with sand particles. The small canyon and holes are geologically interesting, although may not warrant the R20 entrance fee. It is none the less a highlight and you should see it if you are in the area. There is a small museum with some geological information as well as floral and fauna of the area.

Berlin Falls is not nearly as beautiful as Lisbon Falls, but it is impressive. You can climb right up to the edge of falls which then falls over a completely vertical rock cliff. In the wet season, this falls is probably most amazing.There is no entrance fee. Security appears to be fine

Lisbon Falls is one of the best falls in the region. You can climb down a trail from the parking area and walk right up to the base of the falls where the water creates a lovely pool. The water is clear and crisp. It’s cold but take a dip if you wish. Behind the smaller falls is an old gold mine. You can climb up into the mine but it is very slippery and treacherous with all that water coming down on you.There is no entrance fee. Security appears to be fine

Pilgrim's Rest is an entire town lovingly preserved just as it was in the days of the old prospectors.Its architecture, based on the principle of corrugated iron on wooden frames, is seen clearly in buildings like The Royal Hotel and Dredzen & Company general Store , which carries items and fittings from the late 1800's.In 1986 the town was declared a National Monument.Places to visit include, The Central Information Office on Main Street, which gives an essential overview of Pilgrim's Rest colourful past.Alanglade the former residence of the General Manager of the mine.The Printing museum, the Dredzen Shop and House museum, Robbers Grave, Pilgrim's Hut and Diggings at the edge of the town.

The Treur river plunges into the Blyde River and scaped this potholes in thousands of years. This natural water feature marks the beginning of the Blyde River Canyon. The Potholes were named after a gold digger, Tom Bourke, who staked a claim nearby. He was not lucky at all..... his claim did not produce a single ounce of gold. But he correctly predicted that large gold deposits would be found in the area.It is a great places to take pictures!
