I have got a lot of respect of these animals - and not only because of their big teeth. (Have you ever seen them? Brrrr)
In some areas they get used to humans and don?t shy away.
Do not to feed them!
For once you could get bitten. And some may have the rabies.
And if they get used to feeding, they turn into beggars and become spoilt and aggressive. In the end they have to be put down, because they are a nuisance.
So. watch, but don?t touch! For their sake and yours!
By the way: these two got wet while crossing a small river. So mom is drying her child out.

This disease is to the larger extent under control in South Africa however, regions that are affected are the Northern Province and Mpumalanga, northern Natal and Zululand. The risk of contracting the disease is negligible provided that you take the standard precautions. Malaria tablets, a good insect repellent particularly in the evening, long-sleeved shirts and mosquito coils are advisable precautions.
Visitors to the Kruger National Park should consult a local pharmacist for advice on the best anti-malaria drug or drug combination they should take.
