Enrico's has an excellent location on the beach but don't let that hide the fact that they serve very average food and beware of the green 'pesto' they put on the table prior to the starter arriving. I spread some on the garlic and mozarella bread to discover it was chilli which almost blew my head off! Quite how this figures so strongly in Italian cooking is beyond me.
Also a surprising for an Italian is a note on the menu that advises basil can only be served when available. I would hope that this is a joke given that it can be grown just about anywhere and Italian cooking makes great use of it. Perhaps it explains the bland nature of the meal we had?
I thought we were there on an off day but so many things were wrong that I find this difficult to believe. The service was unfriendly, the waitress didn't know about the ingredients and the specials menu looked very permanent for something which was meant to change each day.
Enrico seems to have an ego which is ever present with his bold claims on the menu. It's a pity his food doesn't match up to the hype. Presentation was poor, cooking was poor. It was a pleasure to leave.
I would recommend the Lookout in Plettenberg Bay over Enrico's any day.

The food at the Lookout is basic and delicious. Massive portions abound and both seafood and steak didn't fail to impress. The ambience is definitely on the relaxed side with an almost constant demand for 'seaview' tables and friendly and efficient waiting staff.
The view is fantastic, looking over Plettenberg Bay with even the chance to glimpse whales and dolphins from the window or balcony.

We found the Art Cafe in Plett to be one of the warmest atmospheres around and the "home made" food was truly exceptional. They bake their own bread, grow their own organic lettuce (picked daily) and make their own sausage! The Asparagus, Artichoke and 3 Cheese Quiche is to die for and the pizza is, in my opinion, the best in town.
Favorite Dish: The Sausage con Sugo is made with home made sausage and barlotti beans in a rich tomato/garlic sauce and slow cooked in their wood burning pizza oven. The taste of the ingredients blend well yet remain distinctive because of their freshness. The wood burning oven adds that much more. Definitely MY favorite!

Wow! What a special experience ... grilled oysters, sweet & succulent prawns - and that was just the meal!
The service was excellent and the atmosphere wonderful - especially outside on the terrace.
The Med has been operating for many years and this experience proved exactly why!
So worth the visit!
Favorite Dish: Okay it would be a toss up between the prawns (and St Tropez Seafood Platter) and the
delish lamb chops

This restaurant has the most enviable position overlooking Keurbooms beach just outside Plett. We sat outside watching the surf and whales close by.
Italian with a hint of Mediterranean foods- Pizza, Pasta, Fish, Meat. Right on the Keurboomstrand Beach .
Favorite Dish: Lamb shanks were good, pizza and pasta also good.

Enrico's location is the crux....right on Keurbooms Beach where most often one can watch the dolphins in the waves...very unspoilt and my favourite for the moment! During the whale season, it is possible to watch the whales breaching from the beach.

The Blue Bay Cafe is in Plett's town centre on the main road. Its quite a plush place with outside seating as well as inside.
Favorite Dish: For 2 courses, mushrooms for starter and ostrich for main and a bottle of wine between 2, the bill came to 150rand. Another south african bargain!

A great experience. You can select to sit inside or outside. They have a small but stunning menu to choose from and I did not find them very pricey.
