Encounter the taste of authentic northern and southern Indian cuisine at this homely restaurant: a classic curry house with quasi-Indian decoration of velvet and rich colours. The chefs are from India and specialise in tandoori, kebabs and curries; there is also a large variety of vegetarian dishes. A good place to start with the cultural diversity of tastes you will experience whilst in KwaZulu-Natal! There is secure parking at Tinsley House, the entrance of which is in St Thomas Road.

The foods great and the view is even better! by GerryFM The Roma Revolving Restaurant offers a large spread of Italian cuisine prepared with personal service. It has a superb view of the City of Durban, which is enhanced by the lights at night, and it overlooks the tranquil setting of the Durban Yacht mole. The Roma Revolving restaurant is situated on the 32nd floor of John Ross House, high above Durban, South Africa's fun city. Discover for yourself the pleasure of a relaxed atmosphere and delightful cuisine. Watch the majesty of the African sunset and the enchantment of the lights of Durban springing to life at night
Aside from the Italian dishes, their seafood platter is not too shabby either. Our host Neville recommended Olive & Oil and that was just perfect. The dinner meal was delicious and we had fantastic red wine as well. On this occasion it was exceptional for me but I even ordered dessert this time which was excellent as well. And, of course, the very friendly service, even if was sometimes a bit too formal, but that place has its class and in the end they were even posing for a staff photo. Scrumptious!!!! by GerryFM Little India is an Indian gem, tucked away in the heart of Musgrave's popular restaurant area. Easy to miss on your first visit, the restaurant is reached by climbing a short flight of stairs and is the start of a dining experience you will want to repeat time and again. From the moment you arrive, your host’s friendly service will charm you, leaving you pampered and content at the end of the evening. The cooks are imported from India from both the North and the South, serving up a wide range of styles and flavours that even includes a category known as "Indian Chinese Food". The range of curries is excellent offering a variety of strengths and flavours, and the very whiff of the Tandoori Chicken going past your table will have you calling for your order of the same
It is the more exotic dishes that will pique your interest and your taste buds. Try the Kheema Dosa, a delicate, thin, rice flour pancake filled with mince or the Vada, made from fried green Dhall. It is also the Biryanis that will be another reason to bring you back - delicious in Prawn, Mutton, Chicken, Fish and Vegetable. The list goes on with Chicken and Fish Tikka, Butter Chicken Masala and from the Chinese influence - Spring Rolls, Fried Rice or Noodles and Chicken with Chilli or Ginger. If you can save some room try the Ice Cream with Gulab Jaamun (cream of wheat rounders in sugar syrup, served hot) or maybe the Fruit Sooji. One thing is certain, you will be back very soon.
