Thatched Roof Houses
Once you head inland from Durban, it will not be long before you enter the city of Pietermaritzburg. This is a quaint and busy city with Old World charm! We did not have lot of time to spare on this day, so we took a quick drive into the busy heart of the city before heading onward toward the town of Howick. As we left town, we enjoyed magnificent views of the fields and forests surrounding the city in its hilly setting. There are some amazing houses here on the outskirts, including this thatched-roof one that we came across in the hills above the city! It reminded us of England.
