ZULU POTSMOKING

Favorite thing: Okay okay, this time I made an exception and smoked without knowing what it was. But the guy was smoking it all the time and he looked really happy!

And yes..... I forgot all about where I was. Umfolozi park .... it took a Forum question to remind me :-)
Thanks ghosthunter and Peter_P.

ZULU MAIDEN

Favorite thing: Girls and boys are taught to be proud of their bodies. They are encouraged to interact when they are teenagers. But once engaged, the girls wear the beaded cloak and when married also the red hat. Fooling around is then over!

ZULU ARTWORK

Favorite thing: The beadwork is not just pretty. It symbolises many aspects and stages of life. For instane: when a girl gets engages, she makes a bead jewel for her fiancé.
They can keep away illness or give protection.

MARRIED ZULU WOMAN

Favorite thing: Once a girl is married she always wears the red hat and a beaded cloak. The hat never leaves her head, not even when she sleeps.
