The view over a lush green valley, and the warm hospitality make this a restaurant I would certainly go back to again. It was a convenient stop while travelling in the Kwazulu Natal Midlands. They serve appetising meals of all sorts of sausages, and other Swiss or German side dishes. They also serve beer and wine.

Favorite thing: Thembela Country House is a large self catering thatched house situated on the banks of a beautiful stretch of the Mooi River. Completely breathtaking and tucked away amongst old oak trees off the beaten track.

Favorite thing: The beautiful stretches of the meandering rivers amongst green pasture farmland in the heart of the art and crafts route. The accommodation is tucked away on roads less traveled.
Fondest memory: In June 2006 - locals and visitors celebrated Elizabeth Clarers alien sons 50th birthday party in the Kamberg Valley - close to Nottingham Road. Then, in 2007 - Nottingham Road burst out of its bubble and hosted a Pink Festival .
