OK Store & Others: A Convenient Mini-Mall

by Bwana_Brown

About halfway between the Westbrook Beach Hotel and Durban was the community of Umhlanga Rocks (pronounced Umm-Sha-Langa). We found this to be a very useful and pleasant place to see to the everyday tasks that need to be tended to. In addition to having some films developed and our laundry taken care of, we quite enjoyed sitting outdoors in their food court area while we enjoyed both a light snack , the sunshine and the warm breezes off the Ocean! Cheap when you take the exchange rate into account!

Everywhere are craft shops: Local craft products

by tompt

There are local craft shops near every tourist location. The colourfull beadwork of the Zulu makes a great souvenir. If you buy from local shops it will much cheaper than buying something in souvenirshops in for example Hluhluwe-Umfolozi.
