This nature reserve is situated on the northern boundary of Umhlanga Rocks where the Ohlanga River of the river of reeds flows into the Indian Ocean.
A few hikes through the reserve enabling you to see extensive bird life and some small antelopes and unspoiled beaches make this reserve a worse while visit.

One of the largest shopping centres for the metro Durban is situated in Umhlanga Rocks.
Built in sugar cane land this shopping complex offers besides plenty of shopping, a climbing tower, an IMAX theatre, a surfing venue and tons of restaurants and cafes.

Public shows allow visitors a view behind the scenes of the work of the sharks board and are highly recommended!
