Baia is a chic and contemporary restaurant and cocktail bar located in Victoria Wharf on the V&A Waterfront. It's on the first floor, with a view on the water. Prime location! Indoor and outdoor seating, outdoor is more expensive than indoor! Open 7 days a week. A very stylish place where the service was rather obsequious with our waiter ("Bonsoir madame et monsieur, my name is Oliver. I'll be your waiter tonight") always callling us "monsieur" and "madame". Which, by the way, is my only complaint. They have oysters from Brittany on their menu as well as Norwegian salmon. A bit decadent, if you ask me ...
We both chose the spinach/potato soup as a starter and baby kingklip as a main. The baby kingklip being much bigger than expected! Wine: semi-sweet housewine Dessert: no dessert, just a pot of rooibos tea. The Lookout Deck is is an amazing place to enjoy your meal and the stunning view at Houtbay. This amazing restaurant caters for everyone. You can either enjoy a wonderful meal at the back of the restaurant, enjoy a drink at the bar in the smokers section, or simply enjoy something light on the deck, and enjoy the view. The restaurant also boasts of a lounge section to relax and watch televion. My personal favourite section here is the on the deck for a real lookout. A great place to relax and just enjoy.

I have never been to the Coral Island of Mombasa. This restaurant called Mombasa is the closest that I'll get to it. The atmosphere at Mombasa is great, and they have something special on the menu for all. From the conservative to the trendy (a smoking section is at the back of this restaurant). Of course I love the cakes here and the healthy breakfasts available are great! Most of all, I love the service and the lively atmosphere. Not forgetting the decor! It is open from 8:30a.m. until 11:30p.m. during the week including Saturdays. On Sundays, Mombasa closes at 10:00p.m. depending on the trade. Visit Mombasa.......You will love it!

Who would have thought that I would enjoy as what is known as the "sexiest cinnamon bun" at Cape Town International Airport. The News Cafe, also at Johannesburg International Airport and various other outlets in South Africa, have become quite popular with the arrival of their cinnamon buns and other delicious cakes, meals and drink. Another great thing about The News Cafe at Cape Town's International airport, is that you have a great view of planes landing and departing. Please open the website link to read more. There is a story about these buns!
The "sexy" cinnamon bun, of course! You have a choice of two. Believe me, these buns are divine! The drinks are good.....make your choice. Leave a Comment

Pizza-pasta restaurant in a beautiful decor of Italian paintings on the walls. As in every Italian restaurant there's a large variety in pizza's and pasta's. Difficult to chose from! Portions are huge. Very friendly service. Open 7 days a week. Take-away or deliveries possible.

The Africa cafe is a bit of a tourist trap. Don't get me wrong it is worth going, the food is excellent but a little expensive. There is a set menu and the waiters bring various dishes to your table and will bring more of any dish that you really enjoy. You will definitely not leave hungry that is for sure! The dishes are from all over Africa with many interesting flavours. The waiters and waitresses are beautifully dressed in traditional African clothes with painted faces and the building is brightly painted so you can't miss it! Leave a Comment

I simply love visiting The Red Herring in Noordhoek. The restaurant is divided into three sections. An Ala Carte menu is served inside of the restaurant. On a hot day, i.e. if you prefer something light, there are tables outside of the restaurant where you can relax and enjoy your meal. Just as a precaution, the sevings are huge! Lastly, there is a staircase which leads to the bar section of this very popular restaurant. Very enjoyable on a warm day to enjoy your favourite drink.....and chat! Above all this, there is also a little garden section where pottery can be purchased. Kids love playing here. A few other little interesting shops can also be found in the courtyard. Do not miss visiting The Red Herring when visiting Cape Town. A favourite for all ages! For the trendy, the conservative, the playful and the discerning.
The Biggest Pizza of my own choice. The juices are great in summer. The selection.....great!
