At the waterfront there are many, many choices to have your dining experience. I had read mostly good reviews about this restaurant and thought we should try it. I ordered a shrimp curry dish, I think it was a special, not on the menu. My boyfriend ordered the seared Ahi tuna which was quite tasty. Any, my daughter ordered a shrimp pasta dish which she gobbled up. The curry in my shrimp curry dish was not too strong. Sometimes curry can be over powering but this was very light in flavor, the rice came on the side. The desserts were also very tasty. The 3 of us shared creme brulee and ice cream sundae with chocolate sauce. Very comfortable ambience.

Den Anker: Good Belgian Food and Beer

Den Anker is a good upscale Belgian restaurant located on the V&A Waterfornt in Cape Town. The food was good. We had prawns, steaks, and fish for our entrees. What was especially enjoyable was their wide selection of beers, which was a welcome change from the usual South African choice of Castle or Windhoek. We particularly enjoyed the beer glasses, some of which looke like round flasks from a science experiment.

Good food - GREAT beers. Be prepared to spend some time here. The Belgian beers are great and so is the food.
Service was a bit slow though but that gave us more time to enjoy the beer.
    Nice vibe.

    Favorite Dish: The Beers
    Carpaccio
    Steak au Poivre "Den Anker"

The foundest memory that this Pub/Restaurant is a Belgian facility

Favorite Dish: I had a few beers from the belgian "Antwerp" area.It was relative expensive but a nice place to keep contact with my homeland.
