Despite the somewhat cool water temps, Cape Town has wonderful surfing spots.
Some popular surf spots include Muizenberg, Kommetjie and Noordhoek, Koolbaai, Strand, Blouberg an, Melkbosstrand, and Eland's Bay .
Scarborough has has a wide open beach, and surfers can be seen all day and every day, riding the massive waves.
The water is cold on Atlantic side , but Surfers Corner,at Muizenberg on the False bay Coast- has a more bearable temp.
Muizenberg also has many Surf Shops, that sell high quality surfing gear.

  • Although many divers bemoan the cold water of Cape Town, it is the kelp beds that thrive in the cold water that give the coast such a rich diversity of sea life. Justin's Cave on the Atlantic side and Castle Rocks in False Bay are rated as some of the best. If you're boat-diving, the five wrecks (sunk deliberately between 1972 and 1983 to form artificial reefs) in Smitswinkel Bay are colourful and a haven for marine life.

If you're after a thrill, you can also dive in the predator tank at the Aquarium in Cape Town, where you can get up close and personal with ragged tooth sharks and a variety of large fish.

May I suggest you contact Maritha at Winners Tours to assist you with your requirements.
They have been awarded the contract to do the land arrangements for the 2008 IPU (Inter-Parliamentary Union) conference to be held in Cape Town later this year. Placing 2000+ delegates into beds takes some doing

  • When Driving from Blouberg Strand to Cape Town you drive over the Milnerton Lagoon. I must say its something worth seeing. Its absolutely beautiful and everytime I went pass there you always seem to get people wind surfing and kite flying and so forth.

Well I did a bit of research and for those sporty people. Check out the link below for sports activities to do at the lagoon.

Well, I love Ice Skating. We've got a lovely Olimpic size Ice Rink, still pretty new. It is great to spend time with your mates there and to have a laugh.

Dress warmly!!! After all, it is an Ice Rink. You can hire skates from the rink if you do not have your own.

OK everyone offers swimming with the dolphins, but we can offer swimming with the penquins. In 1983 a pair of African penguins were spotted on Foxy Beach at Boulders and in 1985 they began to lay. Since then the colony has grown rapidly, increasing initially at about 60% a year. By 1997 there were 2350 adult birds. Boulders still remains the only place in the world where one can actually swim amongst the penguins as they have continued to invade more beaches. They are remarkably untroubled by people but one should avoid harassing them by getting too close or chasing them. Beware!! They have a vicious bite
Penguins are flightless, aquatic birds, which live in the southern oceans in climates as varied as Antarctica and the Galapagos Islands on the equator. There are seventeen species in all but the African Penguin is the only one to inhabit the African continent and its inshore islands. It used to be known as the Jackass Penguin
    Scientific Facts:
    Scientific Name: Spheniscus Demersus
    Average Statistics: Weight - 2,1 To 3,7 kilograms (4.63 To 8.16 pounds)
    Height - 50 cm (19.7 inches)

swimming costume and snorkling gear will do the trick
