Simons Town, Cape Town
On the square you will find vendors selling their african art pieces. Also if you look over the container wall, you will see a huge replica of a whale
A small village home of the South African Naval Base, with a lot of Victorian and Cape Dutch Houses is a perfect placer to see whales.
These penguins at Simon's Town live really well. They have the whole beach for them and nice blue water just for them! :-)
While driving along the coast from Hermanus, we stopped in Simons Town for lunch. The restaurant overlooked this harbor. The fog was slipping in and out all afternoon.
Cannot be missed! No trip to Cape Town is complete without a detour to Simons Town to see the Penguins.
Simon's town is a naval base. first Dutch, then British, now South African. There is a statue of the dog "Just Nuissance". He used to meet the men at the station and accompanied them to the base.
He died prematurely after a boisterous leap from a moving vehicle but is immortalised in a life-sized statue in Simon’s Town’s Jubilee Square.
