V & A Waterfront, Cape Town
Maybe the biggest shopping place in Capetown.
But watch the locals - dancing on SA rythm music.
bet you will dance with them - in a short time!
Best shopping place - and different cuite restaurants and bars - with an exceptional view on the table mountain ! - and a BELGIAN pub/restaurant called "De Anker"
You can see seals lying on the boats and piers at the V & A. But don't get too close - remember they are still wild animals!
You can find impromptu concerts everywhere in South Africa. The African people have such resonant voices. This was at the V & A and my daughter decided to get up and join in!
You shouldn't miss V& A Waterfront especially during New Year's day. Its fun going around there doing souvenir shopping and watching the parade.
Apart from shops and restaurants there is alot to see here, Boats, seals, yachts, people watching, and it is a great vantage point to see the "tablecloth"
The big wheel has been erected for the 2010 world cup, so not sure how long it will be up and running for. the cost is R80 for 15 minutes.
Catch the local entertainment at the V&A waterfront.
Impromptu street bands and choral groups often perform for spare change on the weekends.
