A whole continent in a bird's eye view...

While roaming the countryside on one of our walks we were attracted by a signpost that directed us to the "Map of Africa."

Why would someone want to drive to a map of Africa? As the signpost told us, the Map of Africa was only 1 km to go, we decided to walk into that direction. The road lead over a hilltop where all of a sudden there was this interruption in the roadside vegetation at a viewpoint towards the interior. Here, we looked down to a sharp bend in a river , drawing a line around another hilltop in which shape we, little by little, recognized the outlines of the African continent.

Spend a tranquil day , hiring a canoe and paddling from Wilderness lagoon up to Sedgefield. The natural beauty to be viewed along the way is absolutely breathtaking. Pack a picnic basket and stop off at one of the many landing areas along the way.The sporting enthusiasts have a wide range of sports on offer, from hiking, golfing, bowling, tennis, squash, to water sports - fishing, scuba diving, sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing etc.The Indian Ocean
