Don't miss the chance to ride the classic Outeniqua Tjoe-Choo steam train from George to Knysna. The scenery is spectacular, and the experience of riding in a classic steam train is hard to beat. The train leaves George in the morning, arrives in Knysna around noon, then returns to George in the afternoon. The round-trip makes for a long day, but if you have someone pick you up in Knysna you can just buy a one-way ticket.

In the Wilderness Nature reserve you can hire canoes!
It's great fun to paddle along the river with dense forest all around you! You can hear hundreds of birds singing and maybe you'll see a turtle.
But be careful if you see a green water snake... We were paddeling along when my dada saw this emerald watersnake coming towards him. He wanted to take a picture of this wonderful animal. While my dad was focusing his camera the snake was waiting at the side of his canoe because it wanted to go to the other side. All of us expected it to dive... But suddenly it jumped out of the water at my dad... In his shock he just took it and through it right back into the water!!! It was a great shock for all of us because we didn't know whether it was poisenos! But luckily it wasn't!...
