Montagu has been described as having some of the best climbs, information bureau are compiling a book of routes. The best months for climbing are between May and September.

There are over 200 climbs ranging from a 4b (14) to an 8b (33), the climate in the Langeberg mountains is very dry

Equipment: Tourism info should advise if there are any organised climbs which share equipment, otherwise it may be a case of bring your own
