Mac Mac Waterfall

The Mac Mac waterfalls are most propably the best known falls. Around Sabie you will also find many exciting waterfalls. Mac Mac is about 13km from Sabie. There is a permanent Fleamarket before you enter the falls with typical African arts and crafts.

A steep walk along a cement pathway (with many steps) takes you to the viewing platform above the falls.

This waterfall was originally a single stream, but gold miners blasted it with dynamite to divert the river in an attempt to work the rich gold-bearing reef over which it plunges.

Less than an hours drive away so if you did not book to stay in the park, why not get a very early start, be at the gates at 6am and you have untill 6pm to enjoy the beauty and animals of the park.

Sabie was surrounded by a ton of gorgeous waterfalls. These are the pretty pools that fed the Mac Mac Waterfall.
