Well there is Busses leading to different destinations in Sun City. Remember this is one huge Resort so taking a bus to and from the Hotel is not a bad Idea.
There is no cost for using the bus service unless you are using a bus that is going to another city.

There is a shuttle bus which operates from Johannesburg Airport to Sun City. However, they don't always meet your incoming flight schedule.

Well this is a nice way to travel from the Car Park or the Kwena Gardens to the Sun City Entertainment Area. You get a nice view of the different hotels and activities from above.

I need to really jog my memory but I think a car ride from Johannesburg to Sun City took about 2 hours (rather more than less).

There is a very nice Monorail which will get you from the entrance to the Entertainment Centre.
